Chai with an Author took place on 4th July 2017. The occasion was graced by Author Azar Tyabji. He is a consultant planner to development aid agencies in India and US. The event was about sharing of the author’s experiences during the process of cultural documentation and grassroots advocacy that went into researching and writing the book ‘Bhuj. Art, Architecture’ in conversation with local people. The author took the audience on a virtual tour of the Bhuj during the presentation, showing the now and then images post the earthquake devastation. Mr. Azar talked about his experiences and interactions with the local people during his7 year stay. He shared the process of documentation trough collecting stories about Bhuj in the form of pictures and tried connecting dots of the places that were devastated completely. The talk ended with Tea with the Author and question answer session..
