Daily 8 periods of 45 minutes each.
Online – MCQs on overall aptitude testing.
This exam could be attempted from anywhere with the instructions given before the test starts.
Contents: 25 questions – 50 marks.
Test Duration: 30 Minutes
DRAWING – 3 Hands on assignments on campus. 50 marks each (Total = 150 Marks)
Exam Duration – 120 minutes
Exam Time – 10:00 – 12:00 Hrs or as instructed by the College Admin in correspondence.
Candidates with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall not be admitted to the RDID course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent at the 10+2 level.
Pursued an Industry Diploma 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
Earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
English should be the compulsory subject of the examination.
SMEF’s Brick School of Interior Design will be conducting Aptitude Test for the RDID Batch 2018 in 2 stages, one being from the 22nd April 2018(online aptitude test) and the drawing test on the 15th May 2018.

SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE
Intermediate Internships during summer vacations promises to be one of the unique initiatives of the Brick School of Interior Design, as theory and practice through “learning by doing” is bound to develop and equip the students both intellectually and professionally.
To maintain a balance between theoretical and practical aspects of Interior Design and to gain self-confidence, accept responsibility and learn from their mistakes our students of First, Second year and Third would be exposed to a one-month SWE(Summer Work Experience) in the vacations between the Academic years. This, they would get, we believe only if they are exposed to the education beyond the four walls of their classroom and If they are introduced to the working of Design Industry in the initial stage of their learning.
This practical experience and understanding is supervised and evaluated by a qualified mentor/faculty and documented, reflecting the experience and understanding in Organizations and Management, The initiative on their part and the valuable experience they gain in this period will fetch them credit points during their RDID program.
The feedback, suggestions and valuable inputs from the employing Professionals after the training, in turn, will constantly help us in the improvement of our curriculum and enhance the skills of our students as per the Industry expectations in future.
RESEARCH AND TRAVEL GRANTS
To inculcate the research attitude among the students from undergraduate level and to provide opportunities to create, develop, and communicate a project about Architecture /Interior Design and the designed environment that will contribute to their creative, intellectual, and professional growth, Satish Misal Education Foundation has offers two Grants for students of Architecture and Interior Design on the Brick Campus.
1)RESEARCH GRANT The Grant supports innovative investigations in the following streams of architecture; architectural history, theory, and criticism; design; engineering; landscape Architecture; urban planning; urban studies; Interior Architecture visual arts; and related Fields of inquiry. The Research topic can also extend to subjects like fine arts & humanities, which ultimately contribute to the understanding of architecture.
2) TRAVEL GRANT Objective is to encourage to study travel across the country experiencing and documenting architecture, people, cultures, spaces while observing, reading, writing, or sketching to contribute to the profession and the society at large by building a documentation Database in text and images, including photographs, video, drawings, or other media.
Both these grants are worth Rs 15,000.00 each (intended as supplemental funding only) are given to cover expenses incurred by the student during and for the duration of this research /travel Documentation and support innovative investigations in approved streams of architecture and Interior Design. Projects having clearly defined goals, work plans, and budgets are selected from the proposals submitted by students by a panel of jury and are supposed to be completed within one year from the date of declaration of the grant recipient Students. Final Research report is judged by the jury on basis of a 10 point rating system.
HOBBY CLUBS ON BRICK CAMPUS
Clubs run by students Council on campus are open for all students on primarily to facilitate interaction between Interior Design and Architecture students and to enhance their hobbies, keep alive link between hobby and academics, act as a stress reliever, restore their creativity, rejuvenate and increase sensitivity.
The various activities that these clubs harness motivate the students to give them to break from submissions and help them to tap hidden talents.
These clubs are conducted by senior passionate students assisted by juniors and mentored by field experts whenever required.
