SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, offers a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program that equips students to think, design, and build with creativity, technical skill, and social responsibility.
From day one, students are immersed in a hands-on, research-driven learning environment, exploring design, construction, and human-centric architecture. Early years focus on skill-building and foundational knowledge, while later years emphasise practical application, specialisation, and innovation.
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks for candidates from Reserved Categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in aggregate
OR
The candidate should have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks (at least 40% for candidates from Reserved Categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in aggregate.

B.Arch Admission Procedure:
Application for admission shall be done on https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ as per the schedule below:
- Online Application Submission
Candidates must complete online registration and upload all required documents on the official admission website. - Document Verification
Candidates must select a facilitation centre for document verification and confirmation of the application form. - CAP Round Option Form Submission
Candidates must log in to their account and submit the online option form for CAP Rounds I, II, and III, confirming their preferences on the website. - Seat Allotment and Freeze Option
If a preferred seat is allotted, candidates must select the Freeze option. If not satisfied with the allotment, candidates may choose the Not Freeze option to participate in further rounds.
Reporting to Allotted Institute
Candidates must report to the allotted institute for admission confirmation by submitting the required documents and completing the fee payment process.
Documents required for securing admission:
- NATA/JEE-II Score Copy
- CET- Receipt cum Acknowledgement Letter, Seat Allotment letter & Seat Acceptance Letter
- 10th & 12th standard mark sheet
- School Leaving, Domicile Certificate and Birth Certificate
- Caste-Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste Validity Certificate (if applicable)
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)

- Passport-sized photographs
- Any other documents/certificates required for admissions in the respective year, according to DTE, Maharashtra.
Admission procedure and facilities provided to International Students
SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture, Pune, admits Foreign National (FN) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) students in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines issued by the Government of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), and the Council of Architecture (COA), as amended from time to time. Admissions under these categories are conducted through a separate and centralized online admission process prescribed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Seats are allotted within the approved intake as notified by the competent authority.
Admission Process
The admission process for Foreign National and NRI candidates is governed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. All admissions are subject to the eligibility criteria, schedules, and procedures notified in the official Information Brochure issued annually by the CET Cell.
Admission Eligibility (As per COA Norms)
Admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) programme is granted only to candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the Council of Architecture (COA):
Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with: Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Practices / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
OR
Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and minimum 45% aggregate marks. Additionally, candidates must have qualified an Aptitude Test in Architecture, namely:
- NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture, or
- JEE (Architecture Paper) as notified by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the relevant academic year.

Brick School of Interior Design (BSID)
Course Duration: 4 years (Full Time)
Autonomous 4-Year Graduate Diploma | Affiliated with the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID)
Design doesn’t stop at walls; it begins within them. The Interior Design program at SMEF’s Brick School of Interior Design shapes creative thinkers into spatial storytellers who design with purpose, emotion, and innovation.
This 4-year autonomous program blends design exploration, material intelligence, and real-world application through a lab-based learning model.
Candidates with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall not be admitted to the BSID course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent at the 10+2 level.
OR
Pursued an Industry Diploma 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
OR
English should be the compulsory subject of the examination.
