The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in Design & Project Management at SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture has been offered since the Academic Year 2022–23. This 2-year postgraduate program bridges design thinking, management strategy, and technical expertise, empowering architects to take on leadership roles in real estate, infrastructure, and the wider AEC industry.
Responding to the growing scale, complexity, and pace of real estate and infrastructure development, the program equips architects with the strategic, technical, and managerial competencies required to lead projects across varying typologies and scales. By leveraging their interdisciplinary design training and creative intelligence, architects are prepared to move beyond conventional design roles and assume positions of responsibility in project planning, coordination, and execution.
Curriculum Overview:
The M.Arch in Design & Project Management is a full-time, four-semester program comprising 100 credits. The curriculum includes 20 mandatory courses and three electives that address key aspects of building engineering, project planning, and management. Students also engage with three software laboratories that provide hands-on exposure to industry-relevant project management tools, along with a research seminar and an individual research project aligned with their area of interest. This structure enables focused learning while allowing students to develop a specialised domain of expertise.
