The Brick Alumni Network is a vibrant collective of designers, architects, and creators shaping the built world across continents. Through mentorship, collaborations, and meetups, they stay connected, inspiring the next generation of dreamers at Brick. Brick Alumni Association is the formal alumni body of SMEF’s Brick School of Architecture, Pune. Established to maintain lifelong relationships between the institute and its graduates, the Association fosters professional networking, mentorship, knowledge exchange, and continued engagement in academic and cultural programs. The Association supports the professional development of alumni, strengthens institutional growth through collaboration and philanthropy, and contributes to the enhancement of teaching and learning at Brick.

Alumni Intent
- Maintain an organised, searchable record of graduates for academic, placement, and outreach use.
- Reconnect alumni with the school to strengthen mentorship, placements, and collaborative research.
- Promote lifelong learning through talks, workshops, and continued professional development.
- Facilitate alumni contributions to curriculum enrichment, internships, and studio projects.
Alumni Goals
- Establish and maintain a registered, governed alumni association with an elected Executive Committee.
- Run at least 4 major alumni engagement activities yearly (alumni meets, webinars, placement drives, and workshops).
- Maintain digitised records (rosters, contact details, photographs, and CVs) of 90%+ reachable alumni.
- Create an alumni mentorship & placement cell that links alumni to students and faculty.
- Publish an annual alumni report (activities, audited funds, achievements) aligned with NAAC evidence requirements.
Alumni Contributions & Engagements
Orientation Sessions:
Alumni are invited annually to conduct orientation interactions for new batches, offering guidance on academic expectations, studio culture, and professional pathways.
Mentorship for Thesis Students:
Alumni serve as mentors for final-year thesis students, offering discipline-specific inputs, feedback, and industry perspectives.
Internal Juries:
Alumni practicing in diverse domains are invited as jurors for internal design juries, strengthening academic evaluation with real-world insights.
Cultural & Annual Exhibition Participation:
Alumni actively participate in cultural events, celebrations, and the annual exhibition, contributing to installations, discussions, and interactions with students.
Higher Studies Guidance:
Alumni pursuing or having completed higher studies in India and abroad conduct focused sessions on applications, portfolios, scholarships, and career planning.
‘Walk the Talk’ Series:
An experiential initiative where alumni architects conduct walkthroughs of their built projects, enabling students to understand design thinking, detailing, and execution on-site.
Alumni Meets & Activities:
To strengthen community ties, we hold regular alumni meets, networking events, and collaborative sessions.
