It was most pleasant when a well-wisher of Brick, called to say that Masud Taj can finally visit us and share his thoughts. Masud gave a brilliant lecture-presentation on the Mimar Sinan, the legendary Ottoman Architect. The entire presentation was tinged with a philosophical inquiry, and quite naturally due to both the speaker and Sinan himself , who was an intensely pious & devout Muslim in addition to a highly skilled engineer & master builder. The students would be the main beneficiaries of Masud’s interaction, but it was most memorable for even the faculty members ..
