This is an exciting time at SMEF's Brick Group of Institutes. Our first batch has graduated. Our students have won some amazing awards and accolades from the industry, and we continue to deliver lessons in design, creativity and sustainability. Our students have completed certain unbelievable projects and contributed immensely to the society. Looking back, I recognize the incredible qualities of our institute that have fuelled our growth and development, since we started in 2013. Our faculty is relentlessly dedicated to teaching and our students bring lots of creative energy and passion to learn. The curriculum blends design teaching, research, positive debates and social engagement together while we work hard and have fun too!
The goal of our institute is to demonstrate new ways of thinking and working that will give our students the confidence to confront challenges facing the design and creative functions. Being a dynamic, young and energetic design institute, we combine a rich cultural heritage, a warm environment, and technological progress at our campus in Undri. Now that our first batch has graduated, I feel so proud of their outstanding design and intellectual accomplishments. They have outdone themselves in our competitive learning environment and are now ready to inspire the world with their creative ideas.
As we plan the road ahead, the future of SMEF's Brick Group of Institutes seems bright. We take pride in our commitment to innovation, expand our horizons, partner with local and global creative leaders and above all, explore the most provoking questions of our generation with our dear students. We’re not afraid to imagine a future that’s different from the world we live in today. In fact, we encourage and embrace change, love path-breaking ideas and promote progressive creativity.

The Founder and Director of SMEF's Brick Group of Institutes, Dr. Pooja credits her success to her inspirational parents, the role of education in her life and her desire to transform the learning industry in India. She has earned her MBA from Cardiff in U.K. and is currently pursuing her PhD in education. She has also completed a course in Financial Management for non-profit from the coveted Harvard University and a short course in Book Writing from City University, UK
One of the youngest educationalists in the country, she took on the great task of setting up an institute designed for the progressive India at 25. She continues to strive for excellence at the institute by constantly evolving the curricula to match global standards, creating an encouraging learning atmosphere and building great designers of tomorrow. This is evident by the students accomplishments on local, national and international platforms. To reach as many students as possible, she is now launching a hybrid Ed-tech platform (BrickETC) with a difference in the field of creative education which will offer over 40 courses in the first 6 months from the launch. As the Founder and CEO of BrickETC, Dr. Pooja believes that her platform will benefit a large number of students to design their lives with a strong foundation.
Dr. Pooja is also the founder and Managing Director of a startup 'Uniform Infra maintenance and services' which provides skilled staff to organization and public spaces on contract basis for housekeeping and maintenance services. This was started in order to create as much employment as possible in an organized manner. She is an investor in a hospitality start-up. She is also an elected member on the board of directors of Vidya Sahakari Bank - a cooperative bank in Pune.
Her future plans include setting up many more state-of-the-art institutes and eventually a Private University. Dr. Pooja’s passion, determination, and commitment to SMEF's Brick Group gave her an opportunity to speak at a Tedx Event in Pune.
